1.1   Direct failure to follow, or deliberate disobedience to follow the set rules may see the individual or clan being penalised frames, matches or possibly complete disqualification from the FPL.

1.2     Players are advised to have posting rights enabled on the host site (see 5.1)

2.0    Legal Terms

All rules below this clause should not appear like real big legal terms and conditions =).

3.0    Rule Changes

Rules and clauses will not change during a current FPL season. However, if there is an urgent need to change the rules during the season, a Rule Change request should be made to both aflumpire and kirk__1989. Any rule or clause change will be posted on the FPL News, Views and Discussion forum, and sent to each clan captain three days before its implementation.

Clans must nominate six players to play in each clan fixture. All other players will be listed   as   substitutes

4.2   Role of the captain

The role of a FPL captain contains, but is not limited to:

5.0   Game Format and Structure

5.1   Host Site

All games must be played on the official host site for the FPL (http://www.funkypool.com)

5.2   Games

A total of 10 frames minimum will be played. Players will play a best of 5 (first to three) in 8 Ball US, 8 Ball UK and 9 Ball. Players will also play one game of Straight Pool.

5.3    Fixture Week

An FPL fixture lasts 10 days. The fixtures begin 12 noon Friday (GMT) and will finish at 8pm the following Monday (10 days later, GMT). This new rule allows players two weekends to play games and hopefully decrease the default rate. New fixtures start every seven days, meaning there will be overlapping fixtures on weekends only.

5.4   Time and Rooms

Each game should have a 20 second shot limit and we recommend that players use a private room. There is no restriction on who can or can’t watch clan games.

6.0   Scoring System

6.1   Frame Points

Each frame won by a player will equal one point towards the clans score tally

6.2   Bonus Points

There are opportunities to score bonus points in the FPL:

·         1 Bonus Point for a 9 Ball Run out

·         1 Bonus Point for any Golden Break

  • 1 Bonus Point for any Seven Balling

·         2 Bonus Points for any 8 Ball Run out

·         2 Bonus Points for winning a Straight Game by 30 points or more

7.0   Substitutions

7.1   Informing the league of a Substitute player

A player can be substituted at any time, as long as there has been notification to the league organisers, the opposing captain as well as on the appropriate FPL forum. Once a clan match has started, a new substitution may not be made.

7.2   Amount of substitutes

Each clan may only make three substitutes per given fixture

8.0   In completed Games

8.1   A match that has not been fully finished by the deadline is an in completed game

8.2   After this occurs, the following process will happen:

·         League organiser will contact captain and player involved with the incompleted match informing them of in completed game

·         The league organiser will then ask the captain and/or the player to provide an explanation for the incompleted match. If the captain and/or the player puts the opposing player at fault, supporting evidence must support this claim.

There must be a response within 24 hours from either captain or player regarding the default. If this is not provided (except in special circumstances), the league will be free to apply any decision.

The case will have a maximum of 48 hours to be resolved (unless aflumpire or kirk__1989 gives notice of extra time to captain and player) otherwise the game will be settled 0-0 or the last noted score.

After a result has been decided, both captain and player will be advised of the decision as well as contributing factors relating to the decision.

9.0   Have Fun Clause
9.1    While there are rules in this list which are serrious, the main focus on the FPL is to have fun. We understand that there will be disputes and not everyone will get their own way. The FPL strives for maximum player satisfaction, and will do whatever nesesscary to do this.

9.2   HAVE FUN!
